Nidra Day, York
Saturday 29th June 2019
10am to 4pm
Immerse yourself into the practice of Yoga Nidra.
Nidra is a deep practice of meditation. We will create a safe space for this practice by beginning the day with a special African story to bring about a sense of strength, support and belonging within the group.
We will be practicing various Yoga Nidras, including a nidra to strengthen intuition, bhakti nidra, a nidra called 'Unbreakable' which connects to the agent of psychological healing, a moving nidra (accessible to everyone), a storytelling nidra, as well as an ancient classical nidra.
We will explore various aspects of yoga nidra including sankalpa (heartfelt desire), the neuroscience behind nidra (why and how it works) as well as deepening our understanding of yoga nidra from a philosophical perspective.
The intention for this day is for it to be deeply restorative, therapeutic and soothing. It is a useful workshop for anyone interested in nidra, as well as teachers wishing to deepen their knowledge.
£55 for the day, non refundable. Gillian donates 5% of all her earnings to Fight The New Drug.
Venue: The Rising Dawn Sanctuary, Ash Lane, York, YO42 4SW
