The Science of Connection, Leeds
Saturday & Sunday, 6th-7th June 2020
Saturday: 1.30pm-6.30pm
Sunday: 10am-4pm
This two day workshop is aimed at anyone who is interested in developing their understanding of the science behind how we connect to ourselves and each other, and how yoga can support healthy connections.
We will explore Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory and how yoga can be applied to develop resilience and stability within ourselves, how we relate to each other and the world. We will explore the theories through psycho education (presentations and discussions), as well as through practical explorations (using asana, movement, meditation, pranayama, mudra and sound).
The science and understanding behind these theories is developing month by month, and other theories may be touched on if it seems appropriate.
The intention for the workshop is to provide individuals with resources to develop the internal scaffolding required to build healthier connection to ourselves, our responses to each other and our lived experiences in the world.
The workshop counts as 9 hours CPD for yoga teacher trainees and professionals, and certificates can be provided. However, this workshop is also beneficial for anyone wishing to learn more about their own internal world.
