Instruments of the Soul: Digestive Organs and the Pelvis Sunday 26th June 2022, 11am to 4pm Om Yoga Works, Farsley, Leeds
Science polishes the gift of seeing, Indigenous traditions work with the gifts of listening Robin Wall Kimmerer
This workshop will explore both the functional and energetic/soulful aspects of the digestive organs and pelvis.
We will explore the integrity of the pelvis by both strengthening the tissues and softening the grip of tension so that the pelvis can do what it is designed to do: support (nourish, contain) and let go (cleanse, detox). The pelvis is considered to be the abode of prana shakti (creative life force). We will explore what this actually is, what it feels like and see if we can access its healing potential. The gift of the pelvis to anchor us when we feel uprooted, will also be a focus.
We will also connect to the functional and energetic counterparts of the entire digestive system. We will support each digestive organ’s functional role whilst feeling into their deeper soul-purpose. Through the practice of postures, movements, the breath, meditation, mantra, relaxation and storytelling we will cleanse and nourish the digestive system, increase digestive fire and access the healing power of the digestive system and gut brain.
£50 for the day, non refundable. Please email me on email@example.com (or through this site) to reserve a space and I will send you bank details.
